Frequently Asked Questions

About Dream Home Art Union (the new name of RSL Art Union)
Dream Home Art Union: our new name
What happened and why?

RSL Art Union became Dream Home Art Union as of 16 October 2024.

RSL Art Union has always been more than a prize home lottery, since 1956, we’ve offered dream homes. We've grown to have Australia's biggest prize home line-up, with over $50 million being won this year, and more to come in 2025! Each ticket sold continues to support veterans and families, through advocacy, employment and wellbeing programs, offering new beginnings to veterans as they return from service

It’s a name that’s rich in history, setting the bar for prize homes and giving you, our valued customers, the chance to win your own Dream Home. While our name is changing, the work our organisation does is not, ensuring we continue supporting veterans and families, now and into the future.

Find out more.
Is there anything I need to do as a result of this name change?

You don’t need to change anything. Your tickets in all draws after 16 October 2024 have been issued in the new Dream Home Art Union name with the same benefits and chances to win as always. Nothing else has changed.

I have a subscription with you, is this still valid?

Your VIP subscription with RSL Art Union will be continued with Dream Home Art Union. Your tickets in all draws after 16 October 2024 have been issued as Dream Home Art Union with the same benefits and chances to win as always.

Will my login details (username and password) to your website change?

No, this won’t change. If you have any issues, please contact us as you would normally through the 'Contact' page.

Are funds still going to veterans? / What charity are you aligned with? / Have you separated from RSL?

Dream Home Art Union is still proudly delivered by RSL Queensland, in the same way as it was run as RSL Art Union. Our connection as their fundraising arm is as strong as ever. The new name Dream Home Art Union is allowing us to grow and continue to support veterans and families into the future.

Have you changed the prizes that you offer?

As Australia’s biggest prize home lottery, Dream Home Art Union will continue to offer the biggest and best prize homes in Australia.

What will I see on my bank statement?

As of 16 October 2024, RSL Art Union has been officially re-named to Dream Home Art Union. We are still the fundraising arm of RSL Queensland and each lottery ticket sold continues to support veterans and families.

We are continuing to roll out the change in name with all banking institutions. Customers may see RSL Art Union on their bank statement until the final transition to RSLQ Dream Home Art Union, depending on their financial institution.

I have already bought tickets in a draw - are they still valid?

Yes, all tickets are still valid. Any tickets purchased in AU420 before 16 October 2024 were in the name of RSL Art Union. All AU420 tickets purchased after this date are still in the name of RSL Art Union. All tickets from AU421 onwards are in the name Dream Home Art Union.

What is the RSSAILA?

We have sourced some of the original posters and collateral from the RSL Dream Home Art Union from 1956 and onwards. At the time the Dream Home was established in 1956, RSL was known as the RSSAILA. This acronym at the time stood for the Returned Sailor's, Soldier's and Airmen's Imperial League of Australia (RSSAILA).

What’s an Art Union?

An art union is different from other lotteries, it’s more like a raffle, with a guaranteed winner in every draw.

Dream Home Art Union is Australia’s biggest prize home lottery. An art union where you can buy a dream ticket from just $5, or $10 for Golden Treasure Draws, whilst supporting veterans and families at the same time.

Why am I seeing messaging with RSL Art Union branding still on it?

The transition to the new name commenced on 16 October 2024. You may see instances of RSL Art Union while we transition across to Dream Home Art Union. Bear with us as we make all necessary updates.

Is the Art Union  email address changing?

Yes, our email is changing, you may start to see emails from RSL QLD Dream Home Art Union (@dreamhomeartunion.com.au) in your inbox. There is no need for concern, this is just part of the transition to our new name. There is no impact on your tickets or marketing preferences.

Are all of your prize homes new?

The majority of Dream Home Art Union (the new name of RSL Art Union) prize homes are built brand new, while some are existing homes, expertly renovated. In both instances, RSL Queensland works closely with our accredited partners in the building industry to ensure the highest quality of standards is maintained.

Are your prize homes open for viewing?

Due to the often residential location and popularity of our prize homes, Dream Home Art Union (the new name of RSL Art Union) has not been permitted by regional councils to conduct open homes because of the disruption to the local community.

Our prize homes might be closed to public viewing, but you can explore them in just as much detail online, any time you like! Visit our Prize page to access draw brochures, photos, videos, floor plans and virtual tours. All addresses are listed on our prize pages, so why not take a drive past and explore the neighbourhood. Dream Home Art Union (the new name of RSL Art Union) will continue to assess opportunities to re-open prize homes to the public into the future.

Your Account

Selecting a password to secure your account

How to choose a secure password

To help keep your account and details secure, your password must contain:

  1. A minimum of 8 characters
  2. At least 1 uppercase and 1 lowercase letter
  3. At least 1 number

For additional security we strongly recommend including one of the following limited special characters: ! @ $ ^ * ( )

We also strongly suggest you use a pass-phrase (a string of uppercase/lowercase letters, numbers and symbols, e.g. ILik3JohnGri$h@m) that you can easily remember, but is hard to guess.

How to secure your password

  • Do not share your passwords with anyone.
  • Do not write your passwords down anywhere.
  • Make it unique. Reusing a password multiple times makes it less secure, as it only requires one breach to compromise all the different places where that password is used.
  • If you have many accounts across many different sites, consider using passphrases instead of passwords.
  • Wherever it's available, enable two-factor authentication. This further protects your account with a second identity check. (Anyone trying to access your account will need to provide both the correct password and a one-off code sent directly to you.)
